“And the ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning, and bread and meat in the evening, and he drank from the brook.”  (1 Kings 17:6)
When we are obedient to God, He always provides for our needs.  There are three miracles in 1 Kings 17.  First, God provides for Elijah by commanding the ravens to feed him.  Then, after the brook dries up, God provides for Elijah through the widow, whose supply of food miraculously never runs out.  Finally, because of the widow’s faithfulness, God raises the widow’s son from the dead!  In each case, God had already planned to meet the needs of Elijah and the widow and her son.  But first, he asked them to trust Him by exercising faith and obedience.  After God raises the widow’s son from the dead, the widow exclaims to Elijah, “Now I know that you are a man of God, and that the word of the Lord in your mouth is truth!”  Do our lives point others to the Father and the truth of His Word?
